Wasser nachts bleibt (Water is at night) is an installation in a public space, and plays on two building facades of an office building. The entire front window of the front facade is covered in transparent paper and homogeneously illuminated in white. In a part of a floor, there is a water-light installation on the inside, which projects moving lines of light onto the window. On the top right of the façade, the bright pink letter in 'Komm' (Come) is installed, which refers to the rear facade.

The building stands on the Geest edge of the original Elbe glacial valley. The street is an important transportation hub today. The front facade faces the busy arterial roads of the motor vehicle traffic out of town.

Along the back façade, the lettering 'nach Hause in die Fremde' (home to a foreign land) was installed on the top floor. It refers to the lettering 'Komm' of the front facade.

The rear facade of the building looks over the commuter traffic of all tram lines of the city, which are leading out of town to the East, as well as the long-distance train traffic.
