The work is inspired by the fragment "On Being" by the Pre-Socratic Parmenides of Elea, in which he writes about walking as a life and thought process.
The surface of the sculpture is covered with ink drawings, perforations and cuts that are about cartographic / archaeological issues and about time and distances.
The sculpture is pointed in a southwestern direction: it is facing the incoming winter sunshine, which enters the sculpture from the darker side of the room.
Within 24 hours, four important "light" moments originate, every day something different, at four different points of the installation.
